Portfolio Info

Since the Autumn of 2003 Rick has been part of the presentation team of “Scrum V”, during which time his features on the grassroots of rugby have become an established and popular section of the programme.
Alongside Jason Mohammed Rick assisted in the presentation of Scrum V’s Rugby World Cup & Six Nations Specials. This format proved to be incredibly popular gaining a bigger than usual audience share and up to 250,000 viewers.
His reports, including his adaptation of the “Lord’s prayer”, have featured in the prematch build up to BBC Network’s Six Nations coverage.
Rick is a feature writer, reporter and occasional presenter for Scrum V’s sister programme on Radio Wales.
Rick has established himself as the host of “Fanscene” on “Scrum V Live”. “Fanscene” is an interactive viewer option that has built up a large and loyal following throughout the UK, delivering a mix of commentary, discussion and viewer interaction that attempts to bring the atmosphere of the terrace into the viewers living room. It has consequently become a leader within the field of the BBC’s interactive services, with thousands of viewers accessing the interactive service via the “red button”.
He also writes a regular weekly column on the BBC’s 606 website, and his knowledge of Rugby and ability to add a little colour earn him regular commissions from publications such as Redhanded Magazine, the WRU’s “1881” and a number of airlines. Published interviews include those with Gavin Henson, Jonah Lomu, and Gareth Jenkins.
